From Market Halls to Stranded Assets: UKREiiF

UKREiiF 2025 gave us exactly what we hoped for, focused conversations, valuable connections, and real momentum around the issues that matter most to towns and city centres.

Emma Forbes and Hayden Ferriby were on the ground throughout the event, representing Next Phase and speaking with local authorities, developers, and sector partners about the work we’re delivering across the country.

It was a genuine privilege for Hayden to be invited to the Northern Powerhouse Dinner, and for Emma to attend the North East Combined Authority’s Developing Consensus session - two highlights in a packed programme of thoughtful, forward-looking discussions.

Across the week, the same themes kept coming up:

  • The future role of market halls and food halls in placemaking

  • The challenge of repurposing stranded heritage assets

  • And the need to create adaptable, community-focused spaces that can evolve with changing local needs

We were also proud to see our Next Phase campaign featured in the official UKREiiF programme, a small but meaningful reminder of our growing presence in the regeneration sector.

Now, the real work continues. Our team will be on the road in the weeks ahead, turning conversations into action and helping partners bring energy, purpose, and commercial life back to the high street.

If we missed you at UKREiiF, get in touch — we’d love to continue the conversation.
